Box by Style

This is the structural half of our catalogue - every box we make, organised by how it is built rather than by what goes in it. It is the right entry point when you already know the mechanics you need: a base that locks under weight, a lid that opens into a tray, a partition that separates an assortment, a tab that hangs on a peg rail.

The families are bottom closure for load-bearing bases, top closure for how a box opens and re-closes, rectangular boxes for the standard geometry, display structures that convert into a presentation, fold and assemble for flat-shipping locking builds, figures and pattern for shaped cuts and partitions, and showcase and exhibit for presentation and carry formats.

Any structure here can be produced in any of our stocks, so structure and material are independent decisions. Cardboard from 12pt to 24pt covers retail cartons. FSC-certified kraft gives a natural unbleached look with the trade-off that printed colour sits into the brown stock. Corrugated in F, E or B flute is what makes a box shippable or a display self-supporting. Rigid board from 1.5mm to 3mm is for premium builds that arrive assembled rather than flat.

Finishing is likewise independent: matte, gloss and soft-touch lamination, spot UV, foil stamping, embossing, debossing and die-cut windows are available across the range. The full reference is on our materials and printing page.

Every box here is cut to your product rather than picked from stock sizes. Measure at the widest point on each axis, assembled, with any cap, lid or applicator fitted, and give us length x width x depth. Our dielines are drawn to internal dimensions, so board thickness is already handled.

Rigid products need very little clearance. Soft-sided ones, and anything sharing the box with an insert, need noticeably more. The two mistakes that recur are measuring a product unassembled and forgetting a closure that stands proud of the body.

Three questions get you most of the way. How heavy is the contents - weight points to a locking base and heavier board, and past a certain point to corrugated. How is it sold - shelf, peg rail, counter display, or direct to the customer, each of which constrains the structure differently. And how is it packed - hand assembly costs time per unit that does not appear in the unit price, which is what usually justifies a glued base at volume.

Where two structures both work, the tie-breaker is usually what happens after the sale. A box that gets opened once and recycled should be specified for cost and shelf presence; a box that stays in a cupboard or gets reused should be specified for how it behaves open and closed.

Most orders here cover more than one structure - a retail carton and a shipper, a box and its partition, a range in three sizes. Each style and each size is its own dieline with its own 100-unit minimum, but because there are no die, plate, or setup charges, additional styles cost unit price alone. That is what makes originating a full range at once cheaper than adding to it later.
