A tray folded so that each corner is formed from overlapping panels rather than a single fold, giving six reinforced corners. The result is a deeper, more rigid tray than a standard four-corner build, from the same flat sheet.
Anything with weight or bulk that would splay a plain tray - produce, bakery items, heavier retail goods. The reinforced corners resist the outward pressure that makes an ordinary tray lose its shape once it is full.
Yes, it ships flat and is folded up by hand. It takes a few more seconds than a plain tray because there are more folds, which is worth factoring in if you pack in volume.
