Reverse Tuck End — FAQs

Got questions? We have answers. If you need anything else, get in touch.

The direction the flaps fold. On a reverse tuck they fold from opposite sides, so one tuck is visible on the front panel and one on the back. On a straight tuck both fold the same way, leaving the front panel uninterrupted.

It uses slightly less board per unit, so at volume it is marginally cheaper. It is the sensible default when the box is functional rather than a display piece, or when the front panel is not the primary selling surface.

Only on a premium product where the front panel is doing the selling. On most retail packaging nobody notices it, which is why reverse tuck ends are so common. If the front face has to be uninterrupted, use a straight tuck instead.
