Around 5pt for type on coated stock, and about 15mm for a QR code that has to scan reliably. On matte or kraft surfaces the contrast is lower and codes need to be a little larger. On a box this narrow, a 15mm code is a real share of the panel, so place it deliberately.
Yes, at no extra cost. On a small box the interior is proportionally a large surface, and it is where strain details, batch information or a COA link can go without crowding an exterior panel that has almost no width to spare.
Keep the layout fixed and let one element carry the variant - a colour block, a strain name, an icon. It also helps to remember that in a dispensary case the customer sees the top panel first, through glass, which is the panel most ranges leave blank.
