It follows the heaviest order the bag will carry, not the average one. Lighter paper suits boutique and cosmetics; heavier stock with a turnover top is needed for bottles or multiple items. Tell us the worst case and we will spec the paper and base to it.
Less than the dimensions suggest. The turnover at the top takes a strip out of the design, the gussets fold away when the bag is flat, and the base is never seen. Design for the front and back faces, and treat the gussets as secondary.
Twisted paper handles keep the bag recyclable as a single item and suit food and eco-focused brands. Flat cotton or ribbon handles feel softer and are the retail and gifting choice. Die-cut handles remove the attachment entirely and cost least.
